2019

Face Laboratory is a virtual exhibition project created by Cody Lai, Chun Man and Chow Hiu Kwan in 2019.

 

The project involved researches and studies on marketing and customers behavior, creating the brand identity and promotion strategy.

Brand Statement 

Face Laboratory is aim at breaking the rule of beauty in general, using golden ratio and proportion rules to refine beauty standard, even if they are not fit in the rules, we can still be beautiful. 

Logo Concept 

The concept of the logo is a person measuring his/her own eye, as to represent the beauty theory in general, also using cyan and magenta to bring a youthful feeling, and using magenta to emphasize the measurement. 

Poster

Poster series regarding measurements of face feature. Six Posters in a series to show different “weirdly beautiful faces”. With the bright and vibrant color and minimal graphic style, these posters gives the chic and modern vibe, which matches our attributes.

The posters will be placed in public transport such as MTR station so it can reach the target audience.

Billboard

Billboards are placed in both train station and MTR station, which can catch the attention of passerby.

Banner

Banners will be installed around the venue, which is Central, Sheung Wan District. The big eye would be a signature of the exhibition.

Website​

The website allows visitors to know brief information about the exhibition. The home page uses the magenta to catch the audience’s eyes and use the cyan as the background to keep the readability. Using graphic icons to help the audience understanding the beauty rules.

Badge

Badge for staff, guests, media to wear during the exhibition. There is large text to identify their role, also using the supergraphics in the two theme color.

Ticket

There are two kinds of ticket, concessionary ticket and standard ticket, the staff can identify the tickets by the color. 

Exhibition Board

Iridescent mirror as exhibition board. Visitors can use the reflection to measure their face ratio.  Visitor can “Check-in” at social media by taking photos of the mirror.*

Leaflet

Z-fold to include ruler on top on the leaflet. Visitor can use it in front of the exhibition board and record their score at the blank eye shape in the leaflet.

Postcard

Two sets of the postcard for visitor to purchase after joining the exhibition. The two sets of the postcard include the supergraphics, so as the beauty rules that they can remind the memory or share the experience with friends.

Envelope

Envelope to hold the poster set. Details of the poster set are printed on the envelope. A pattern of the supergraphics was printed on the inner part of the envelope. 

Hand Mirror

We believe mirror as a beauty-related item would be a good souvenir for visitors so it will encourage visitors to be confident every time they look at the mirror.

Button Badge

The button badges will be sold in sets, cyan and magenta set. It comes with the packaging that holds the badges on a paper.
